Clubs:
Joining clubs is a key part of the high school experience with many benefits, helping students adjust better to high school life. Clubs allow you to:

- Have Fun: Enjoy activities you’re passionate about.
- Learn New Things: Gain new knowledge and skills.
- Explore Your Interests: With many clubs available, find one that interests you and get involved.
Sports:
- South High offers a variety of sports, including many new options beyond those in middle school.
- No experience? No problem! Now is a great time to start playing a sport.
- The athletic department and coaches are eager to get you involved.
- Remember, it's never too early or too late to start a sport!
Buses:
If you don’t know your bus number, here’s what you can do:
- Ask the security guards outside the front entrance for assistance.
- Check the bus schedule near the front doors of the lobby.
- Log in to the IC Student Portal to view your transportation information.
- Ask the main office.
Lunch:
- Eating is important! It helps you stay focused in class.
- Adding money to your lunch account is much easier than carrying cash.
Management and Organization:
- Use the 9th grade orientation day to get familiar with the school.
- Remember where your classes are; your teachers expect you to be on time after the first few days.
- Use your assignment planner; it really helps.
- Make good use of your free time by spending it in the library.
- If you need help, visit your guidance counselor.
- Don’t skip homework; doing it is one of the easiest ways to raise your grades.

- Carry Your Backpack: It’s okay to carry your backpack with you throughout the day to keep your essentials handy.
- Use Free Time Wisely: Stop by your locker during free periods, lunch, or other breaks.
- Plan Your Visits: Fit locker visits into your daily schedule to make your day more efficient.
