Financial Aid
Changes to the FAFSA are coming in the 2024-2025 year.
FAFSA is available as of 12/31/24!
“Prior-prior year”-- You can use tax information from two years prior to the academic year in which you plan to attend school. Therefore, if you are applying for financial aid for the 2024-2025 school year, you may use 2023 tax data.
There are free programs that help families complete the FAFSA. The Great Neck Public Library offers a free FAFSA event for families, as well as many other helpful college-related events. For more information, click here.

FAFSA
Every U.S. college student needs to fill out the FAFSA form in order to be eligible for any need-based financial aid. This includes federal grants and loans, scholarships from the state and the college, and college work-study jobs. You may find the following links useful for information on financial aid. It is advisable to consult the Financial Aid Department and the website of the specific colleges you are interested in. Each year, our guidance department holds a financial aid meeting for seniors and parents sometime between the end of November and early December.
